Sophomore Kylee Bordelon competed at the Region Competition at Port Neches Groves on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Bordelon advanced to State with her twirling solo scoring a 1 which is the highest rating achievable.
“I feel very blessed just to be able to be out on the floor, especially after the surgery I had on my foot. I was scared I wouldn’t be able to dance after it,” Bordelon said. “My mom taught me how to use my nerves instead of being afraid of them.”
Bordelon will travel to Austin to twirl, at May’s State competition, in hopes of receiving another Superior Rating.
