Seniors Jermaul Hayes and Camila Gurrola won Homecoming King and Queen at the Coldspring football game on Friday, Oct. 17.
The other senior nominees were Ray Stramecki, Mckenzie Tinkle, Luke Hampton and Aleena Rodriguez.
Rashard Hale and Miriam Santana were named freshman Duke and Duchess, Drew Frederick and Madison Hardy were named sophomore Duke and Duchess, and Darius Edmonson and Keilyn Avila were named junior Duke and Duchess.
FFA Beau and Sweetheart were Tanner Broussard and Kyra Perryman. Band Beau and Sweetheart were Julian Perez and Aileen Guerrero.
“When they called my name, I was ecstatic. I was very blessed to receive the Homecoming Crown,” Hayes said. “I felt like I accomplished a really big goal of mine. Thank you to everyone who voted for me.”
Several other former queens attended the game, including Andrea Lopez, the 2024 Homecoming Queen who crowned Gurrola.
“I was very happy when they called my name because I really wanted the crown. It was even more special because my best friend Andrea was the former queen who crowned me,” Gurrola said. “Thank you to everyone who voted for me. I can’t wait to crown next year’s queen.”
