Seniors Christian Moreno and Agustin Granados earned Academic All-State Honorable Mentions in Cross Country this season. The online results were announced on Nov. 13.
“I was excited and surprised to earn the All-State Academic honor,” Moreno said. “I’m glad I stayed on top of my grades.”
In addition, freshmen Kalyssa Fontenot and Parker Williams, sophomore Giselle Santana, juniors Karen Hernandez and Mikeala Quave, as well as senior Jose Rufino were in the District Top Ten.
“I was happy to be in District Top Ten,” Hernandez said. “That means I qualified for Regionals.”
All-State Honorable Mention students will receive their awards at the Athletic Banquet in the spring.
