Junior band student Ivette Sanchez participated in Lamar University’s High School Band Day on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Provost Umphrey Stadium.
Band directors Stormy Semich and Dina Bordelon encouraged students to attend the event, which took place during Lamar’s Senior Night. Sanchez played and marched with the Baritone Saxophone.
“I am so thankful that one of last year’s seniors, Nicolas Aguilar, brought me out to Lamar,” Sanchez said. “It was a really good experience, enough to make me realize that I want to go there and play in the Lamar University Band.”
The EC Band will hold its annual Christmas Band Concert on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the elementary campus.
