Varsity football played against the Kirbyville Wildcats on Friday, Oct. 24 under the direction of Russ Sutherland.
At the end of the first half, the Buccaneers were down 28-42. Senior Koby Jones had four touchdowns running a total of 200 rushing yards. Quarterback JD Zurby also had 338 passing yards in the game.
Junior Darius Edmonson came back with a crucial first down which led to a touchdown ending in a close 58-52 victory.
“The highlight of the night was when I caught the ball in the fourth quarter to steal the game,” Edmonson said. “I am so excited for Playoffs.”
The Bucs will play the Orangefield Bobcats on Friday, Oct. 31, for Senior Night, in hopes of securing 2nd place in District.
