The varsity boys took on the Coldspring Trojans at the Homecoming Game Friday,Oct. 17.
Senior wide receiver Luke Hampton ran an 18-yard touchdown in the 1st quarter.
“I couldn’t let that first touchdown that I was robbed of get the best of me,” Hampton said. “Once I saw the opening and found my way, I took it and ran with it.”
The Bucs scored two more touchdowns giving them a 22-point lead going into halftime.
Quarterback JD Zurby threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to junior tight-end David Lopez in the third quarter.
“I was relieved that I was finally able to get my first touchdown,” Lopez said. “But that was last week and now I’m ready for the next opponent.”
Senior tight-end Jessie Moore ran a 4-yard touchdown in the 4th quarter, and the final score was 54-6.
The Buccaneers bump their record up to 6-1 and will face the Kirbyville Wildcats on Friday, Oct. 24.
