Varsity girls score a win

Madeline Blume, Marili Velazquez, and Alexa Chavez

The varsity girls team competed in the Liberty tournament on Friday, Jan. 16 under the direction Coaches Kristy Baker and Joanna Martinez.

They defeated Port Arthur Memorial 2-1 and Buna 1-0 with scores from Estrella Narcisco and Aleena Rodriguez.

“I felt happy because that was my first time scoring”, Narcisco said, “I was apart of the first win varsity has had in a while!”

The girls will play in a home game against Vidor on Friday, Jan. 23.
