All-District Football Awards were announced, online, Thursday, Dec. 4.
Freshman Rashard Hale was named Superlative Defensive Newcomer of the Year. 1st Team Offense Quarterback is JD Zurby. 1st Team Offense Running Back is Koby Jones. 1st Team Offense Receiver is Colby West. 1st Team Defense Inside Line-backer is Aiden Baker. 1st Team Defense Safety includes Reid Todd and Bryce Guillory. 2nd Team Offense Full-back is Darius Edmonson. 2nd Team Offense Offensive Line includes Eloy Lopez and Ty Ardoin. 2nd Team Offense Kicker and Punter is Adan Garcia. 2nd Team Defense Defensive Tackle is Gradyn Oliver. 2nd Team Defense Line-backer includes Dalton Dishman and Luke Hampton.
“I was surprised to win,” Hale said. “It felt good to be a starter as a freshman because not everyone has that opportunity. I’m looking forward to a great football season next year.”
In addition, Honorable Mention players include Sean Beighley for Defensive End, Earius Ceasar for Corner-Back, and David Lopez for Tight End.
Academic All-States Honors will be announced in January.
