FFA students showed at the Houston Rodeo on March 11.
In the Junior Breeding Beef Heifers Kolt Krakenke placed 1st in Class and won Calf Champion. Aiden Baker placed 2nd in Class and Reserve Junior Heifer Champion and Rylee Fitzgerald placed 6th in Class. Teal Kraehnke placed 3rd in class while Ava Bone placed 9th.
Jessica Bordelon and Madison Holifield both placed 6th in their classes. Rylee Fitzgerald won 2nd in her class at Junior Market Steers.
“I felt the most excited I ever felt,” Fitzgerald said “This was my first time showing a steer in Houston.”
Students will show their animals again at the Beaumont YMBL County Livestock Show in 2 weeks.
