The boys and girls track teams competed at HF on Thursday, Feb. 26 under the direction of Coaches Ashley Sherman and Ben West.
Justavia Singleton, Taylor Moore, Mckenzie Tinkle, and Giselle Santana won the 4×2. Karen Hernandez won the 1600 and 3200. In addition, Kaydence Pinson won discus, Mikeala Quave won triple jump, and Kalyssa Fontenot won the 800.
“In the 3200, I thought the girl behind me was gonna pass me, but she didn’t and I had a good finish,” Hernandez said. ” In the mile, I started off strong and had a good pace the whole time.”
Luke Hampton, Jessie Moore, Adan Garcia and Braylin Harbor won the 4×4. Agustin Granados won the 1600 and 3200.
Track will compete at the Huffman meet on Thursday, March 5.
