The Runnin’ Bucs close out District play with a 77-32 win over the Panthers in Anahuac under the direction of Head Coach, Todd Sutherland.
Leading scorers for the Bucs were Cam Dillard with 23 (5-7 from the three-point line), Dayvon Wallace with 14 (4 threes) and 10 rebounds, Darius Edmonson with 14 points, and Colby West with 10 points and eight assist.
“The Buccaneers jumped out to a quick lead with the majority of the buckets, coming off of forced turnovers by the full court pressure defense”, Sutherland said. “Players were flying around and created problems the entire game because of their relentless defense.”
This runs the Buccaneers record to 28-6, 12-2 in district. The Runnin’ Bucs will play a playoff game against Huntington, in Woodville, on Feb. 24.
