The Boys Varsity Soccer team played a home opening game against Bob Hope High School on Friday, Jan. 30.
Sophomore Adan Garcia scored the first two points of the game, and teammate Max Vargas scored another goal with an assist from junior David Lopez.
“I want to first thank God for giving me the opportunity to have given my team an early lead in a major win,” Garcia said, “I can’t wait for District.”
The Bucs started the second half up 3-0.
Vargas scored again before senior Bryan Chavez’s rebound. Lopez also scored a header, rounding out the game with a 7-0 victory against the Eagles.
Both soccer teams will face off against Liberty High School in a home game on Friday, Feb. 6.
