Cross Country teams ran at the Chester Invitational on Sept. 3 and swept the meet taking first place overall.
Freshman Parker Williams placed 7th, junior Mikeala Quave placed 8th, and freshman Kalyssa Fontenot placed 11th in the varsity girls division.
Seniors Agustin Granados placed 2nd in the varsity boys division while Cristian Moreno placed 11th.
“When I was crossing the finish line, all I could think about was the ice-cold blue Gatorade waiting for me,” Granados said. “I wasn’t super happy with my placement, but I trust in my training and I know what I’m capable of.”
In the JV division, junior Jadynn Smith placed 2nd and Candido Rodriguez placed 3rd.
The next meet will take place in Broaddus, TX on Sept. 10.
